General Photography Tips
Many people tend to look through the viewfinder on their cameras and let what they see outside the frame affect the photographs they take. For instance, you are at the zoo and you take a close up of your friend, and when you get the picture back, all you have is the picture of that someone smiling, but you don’t see the zoo in the background. You can’t always get everything you want to show up in the photo. Be creative, and have that person hold some cotton candy, or stand next to a sign at the zoo.
Another photography tip is to vary the positioning of your camera when you take your snapshots. Have mix of both vertical and horizontal exposures. The orientation of your photo creates curiosity and interest.
Don’t limit yourself to just vertical and horizontal orientations. There is 360 degrees to experiment with. Take some pictures using unusual angles. You will probably produce some bad photos, but experimenting is the wonderful part of photography. You never know what you’re going to get, and can show off the ones that you are particularly proud of!
One simple rule to remember when trying to find the right angle when taking a photo, is not just to flip your camera around, but walk around! You’d be surprised at what you might get just by taking some steps!
Always remember to take your camera with you! Then you’ll never have to hear yourself say, “If only I had my camera.”
